The Office of the Vice-Rector for Studies and Language Policy of the University of Valencia (UV) has announced the Josep Martínez Bisbal Awards for the use of Valencian and linguistic quality in academic communication and scientific dissemination, to promote linguistic equality in publications academics. The submission deadline is March 25.

The awards are aimed at people who carry out research or dissemination work at the University of Valencia. In this sense, the fundamental requirement to run for office is that the publications, whether articles, books and / or chapters of books of academic communication and scientific dissemination published during the year 2021, are written in Valencian, although they may contain citations of texts in other languages.

The financial endowment of each prize will vary depending on the linguistic quality and the volume of text in Valencian of the publications submitted. Opinion articles, Catalan language and literature texts and didactic articles, as well as texts that have been revised or translated by the Language and Language Policy Service or texts that have already been previously awarded will be excluded from any prize. The overall endowment of the prizes is € 20,000, with a maximum of 1,500 for each awarded work.
