The opening videoconference was held on Monday, May 10 at 17:00, during which all the activities of the programme's second edition were explained in detail to the 25 people selected to participate in Capacitas.

The presentation of the Capacitas programme, which was held online, explained all the details of this second edition, which aims to boost employability for university students and graduates with a disability certificate of 33% or more.

During the inauguration, various people in charge of the programme discussed its development and the schedule of the activities, and presented the professionals involved, among other things.

The 25 training grants in employability, which are managed by the University of Valencia General Foundation, will take place during May, June, July and September and will focus on drawing up a plan of action to strengthen the students’ professional profile. Capacitas will also promote quality employment through itineraries of career counselling, training actions and awareness-raising for companies. Some of the activities planned include coaching, a group workshop named “Personal skills for employability”, training in social networks, career opportunities and effective communication, and networking.

With this programme, the Office of the Vice-principal for Employment and Training Services of the University of Valencia (UV), through UVjob and with the collaboration of Banco Santander, aims to boost the employability of students with disabilities and help them find a job placement in the future.

This is the second edition of the Capacitas programme, which was launched last year and found job placements for nine of the participants.
