The UV Volunteering programme in sustainability invites students to get involved in the ODS yo sí project and at the same time it aims to encourage the development of their own initiatives related to sustainability.

It is aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students of the University of Valencia with an interest in sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Participation in this volunteering involves 25 hours of training and a commitment to participate in the actions developed by the UV Volunteering in sustainability with a dedication of 20 hours throughout the academic year 2020/2021.

Sedi supports this volunteering initiative and also organises the basic and specific training necessary for the incorporation of students in the participation proposals.



Dates: from 6 to 21 November 2020.

Modality: online course, through UV Virtual Classroom (Moodle), lasting 25 hours. There is a combination of synchronous sessions with the teaching staff and assignments to be completed and submitted autonomously. The synchronous sessions to which participants must necessarily connect are the following days:

  • 6 November from 4 to 8 p.m.
  • 7 November from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • 13 November from 4 to 7.50 p.m.
  • 14 November from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • 20 November from 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
  • 21 November from 10 a.m. to 1.50 p.m.

The volunteering offer is diverse. In this first edition we propose to students to participate:

  • In the design and development of the awareness actions planned for the week from 21 to 27 March, on the occasion of the days of Forests, Water and Meteorology.
  • In the design and development of actions on the occasion of Fair Trade Week (around 25 May).
  • In the design and development of dissemination actions in the week from 3 to 10 June, on the occasion of the celebration of the Bicycle, Environment and Oceans days.
  • Review of menus and customs in university campus cafeterias and in the contents of vending machines, battery and recycling containers.
  • In dissemination campaigns through digital media and information panels.
  • In other tasks that may arise from the working groups or the SDGs for the new normal.

Volunteers must undertake to follow the programme's training plan; pass on information about the campaigns started; deal with students' doubts and queries and refer them to the sources of information about the campaigns; maintain direct contact with the programme's coordination; collaborate in the aspects necessary for the initiatives to run smoothly; collaborate in the actions of the working groups and the ODS and make a critical and constructive assessment to improve the programme in this and future editions.



Undergraduate students who participate can obtain the recognition of 2 ECTS credits, provided that the use of the training and the dedication of 20 hours to the actions of UV Volunteering in sustainability agreed.

Access to registration in UV Volunteering
