The objective of the Sedi is to provide information, promotion, and training services to the students of the Universitat de València and future university students, as well as other groups linked to the world of education.

To this end, it provides support to:

  • The Student Council Branch,in terms of promotion of student participation, complementary training for university students, training for participation in UV volunteer work, mobility grants, training of student representatives, support for student governing and representative bodies and other student dynamisation programmes.
  • The Delegation for Academic Trajectories, in lines of action linked to support for the incorporation into the University, the beginning of the university career and permanence, with the main objective of better accompanying the academic trajectories of the student body.
  • The Office of the Vice-Principal for Studies, , in initiatives related to the dissemination of the University's degree programmes, support for access and admission to the University, university careers and grants for research collaboration, among others.
  • The Student Council on administrative tasks.

The programmes managed by the Student Information and Promotion Service (Sedi) are the following:

  • Personalised attention, both in person and by telephone (at Sedi offices on all three campuses) regarding access to university and higher studies.
  • Grants for socio-cultural projects carried out directly by the students of the Universitat de València.
  • Grants to students for research collaboration.
  • Grants to students for mobility: travel grants, cooperation travel grants, DRAC Estiu and DRAC Formació Avançada grants, etc.
  • Conèixer la Universitat programme for the dissemination of the University's degree programmes and support for access and admission to the Universitat de València.
  • Entreiguals student mentoring programme.
  • Welcoming to the Universitat de València.
  • La Nau dels Estudiants training space.
  • Psychological, sexological, psycho-educational and legal counselling, free of charge for students.
  • Encouraging university volunteering.
  • Encouraging blood donation among the university community.
  • Encouraging student participation.
  • Support for student governing and representative bodies.
