Academic, scientific or professional interest: The level of molecular analysis in biology is essential to understand how living beings function. The introduction of the White Paper of Biochemistry and Biotechnology indicates that the advance of the so-called molecular biosciences in the 20th century has been spectacular and its applications “are considered, after information technologies, the second great wave of economy expansion based on knowledge”. This implies that the implementation of a Master’s degree which its essential objective is to train professionals in molecular biosciences has a great academic, scientific and professional interest. The training of highly qualified staff in the field of molecular bioscience (and, its most practical aspect, in biotechnology) has a great socio-economic importance, in its double prism of training professionals for biotechnological companies and of potential entrepreneurs linked to the Science Park of the University of Valencia.
