In October, the University of Valencia will hold its traditional Welcome Week (Setmana de Benvinguda 2022), organised by the Students' Delegation through the Information and Promotion Service (Sedi).
The Benvinguda de la Universitat de València is, as said by its organisers, a meeting point for the university community that is held in October to publicise the initiatives and services of the Universitat de València aimed at students, the proposals for participation that are available to them, as well as the student associations and groups that live at the University. It is a participative and open event in which the values of equality, diversity and sustainability are promoted. Different services such as the UV Language Centre, Sports Service, Language Policy Service and, of course, International Relations and Cooperation Service (Erasmus+Forthem) will take part in it.
The Benvinguda will take place on the following days at each of the UV campuses:
- 18 October at the Tarongers campus
- 20 October at Burjassot campus
- 25 October at the Blasco Ibáñez campus
- 27 October at Ontinyent campus
Actions planned for Welcome Week 2022:
- Information points of the services and associations of the University, where you can find out about the proposals, activities and calls they have planned for the academic year 2022-2023. From 10:00 to 14:00.
- Musical performance. At 12:00, on the “Benvinguda” stage.
- Valencian “Horchata” or iced lemonade for all those who come to the organisation's stand for information and collect their invitation ticket (while stocks last).
The event is a great opportunity to know the university in depth and get in contact with other students, especially for students who have recently arrived at the UV or from any of the other universities that are part of the FORTHEM Alliance. In this way, students are facilitated the integration and the possibility of enjoying all the possibilities that the institution offers.
